Argentina

Climactically, Argentina takes over where Brazil leaves off.

The North still has impressively hot summers, but colder winters. The South is but a hop from Antarctica and even the summers can be pretty chilly.

For the angler, this means that within one country you can fish for warm water species in the north, while the south offers some of the best Sea Run Trout fishing on the planet, with magnificent wild trout fishing in the middle.

The North East has become synonymous with Dorado fishing. Often referred to as the Golden Salmon, this very beautiful but aggressive predator, once caught is never forgotten.

Argentine Patagonia is a phenomenal contrast to the flat, hot marshlands of Iberá with its towering snow capped mountains and rushing clear rivers.

Argentine Patagonia has a great advantage over the part across the Chilean border. They have for many years enforced a strict catch and release policy, which the Chileans resisted until only very recently. This has led to greater fish stocks on the Argentine side.
