River Plate Outfitters, Amazonia - Brazil
Floating Cabins - River Plate Outfitters

River Plate Outfitters’ Floating Cabin fishing operation has become one of the most desirable Amazon adventures around.

Very simply, there is nothing else like it. Their unique system of transporting clients on ultra-shallow draft barges, allows anglers to fish otherwise inaccessible rivers, being able to pass the ultra shallow banks, impassable by any other means.

The operation transports you by float plane way up stream to meet the cabins. You then spend 6 days fishing your way downstream, exploring and fishing stunning, ultra remote rivers.

It is undeniable that this operations offers one of the very best opportunities to catch specimen Peacock Bass on fly and spinning tackle.

I am not exaggerating when I say that massive numbers of bass in the 10lb to 16lb range, but many caught in the 16lb to 20lb class and 1 caught of a staggering 24lb.

Each cabin offers spacious and comfortable double occupancy accommodation, with ensuite facilities. Each cabin has an insulated roof, screened walls and air conditioning. Further cabins act as dining room and staff accommodation and kitchen. Fishing is done aboard first class skiffs with casting platforms, outboards and electric drifting motors.

We can confirm that River Plate Outfitters offer a service of the utmost professionalism and clients are very carefully and attentively looked after throughout.

The season runs from October to March. I would recommend December to February as prime time and offering the best opportunities of rainfall to water level ratio.

The trip includes: 2 nights at the 4* Tropical Hotel Manaus, transfers to and from the airport, float plane transfers to the fishery, double occupancy accommodation, all meals and refreshments, all fishing and guiding (2 anglers per boat).
