"I have been lucky enough to have fished a number of places ranging from the Arctic to the tropics. I can honelstly say that my latest trip for Peacock Bass in the Amazon Rainforest is the best I have every been on. What makes this company's trips different is Nick Palliser's passion for the country and fishing which shines through. Thanks for a memorable trip and I look forward to the next one!"
“One of the best fishing trips ever. A real experience, hunting and landing the most spectacular fish in a fantastic water system with a professionally run lodge by people that care about you, the catch, and the environment.”
"The most remarkable aspect of the Patagonian trip was the sheer variety of the fishing. which ranged from wading in fast moving rivers, casting from drifting boats and fishing the margins of the most beautiful lakes. It was challenging and rewarding fishing that tested technique and centred mainly on presentation of the dry fly."

Rio Irigoyen, Sea Trout
"As for the fishing, well what can I say? I caught 10 seatrout for the week with 6 being well into double figures.
Stunning and completely impossible to replicate in this country."

"Fishing with The Latin American Fishing Co. is a totally unique experience and was made especially so again with the Rio Irigoyen.
On my first trip, the first morning, after only 15 minutes, I hooked and landed a monster seatrout of over 20lb. Though the fishing is demanding and technical, even relative newcomers to fly fishing have taken fish up to 18lb on this most recent trip! The food is very high quality and the guiding is second to none, I rate it as one of the best fly fishing destinations on the planet. Buenos Aires is a fantastic stopover, with some of the finest steaks I’ve ever eaten! Shopping is also great fun, from the rows of fine leather goods, high quality gaucho wear to a well stocked fly fishing shop full of specialist, locally tied sea trout flies I had never seen before.
The NH Lancaster is the Latin American Fishing Co’s hotel of choice. It has an excellent restaurant and is located right in the heart of Buenos Aires, making it easy to do all you like before the much anticipated arrival to Tierra del Fuego."

"The Irigoyen is a jewel of a river which runs up through an ancient forest in remotest Tierra Del Fuego but it is plentiful with seat trout every bit as large as the Rio Grande. For me catching these fish on single handed rods in a small river dense with sunken logs and obstacles is the ultimate in seat trout fishing. The Far End Rivers lodge, situated on a bluff with beautiful views over the river, was very comfortable and served really great food. The guides are not merely good company and excellent guides but clearly virtuoso fishermen who it would be difficult not to learn from. Nick Palliser, as always, was the consummate fishing host."

"The test of a good organisation and host is when the fishing is tough.
It was tough at the Irigoyen, however it was a great experience. The logistical arrangements, travel, hotel etc were excellent as were the lodge, meals and particularly the high standard and enthusiasm of the guides and staff. As for our host, Nick; he combines great personal fishing ability with unbounded enthusiasm and optimism and, most importantly, always puts the clients needs before his own. Other than Brian Fratel, I can think of no other host with whom I would rather travel"

"During the week of 7th February to the 14th February, I had planned a sea trout trip to the Irigoyen river in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina through The Latin American Fishing Co. From the transfers to and from the hotel, to the river everything was professionally organised and after a long flight, all you want to do is put your head down and sleep, the NH Lancaster in Buenos Aires is where you want to do this being a four star hotel the service was great. Once down on the river the lodge was really comfortable and the food, to be honest is the best I've had, and the quality of the guides and their knowledge of the river was outstanding. The fishing during the week was what I expected, just fantastic! With my fish averaging between 8lb - 12lb the biggest being 16lb, however there were some monsters landed that week with the biggest being a new river record a 30lb seatrout.
I just want to say a big thank you to Nick Palliser , the guides and staff at Far End Rivers, for making this a hassle free and unforgettable trip and I'll definitely be back fishing the Irigoyen. WELL DONE GUYS!

"I found the whole experience very enjoyable and professionally run. For a start, having a friendly face expecting me at the airport and being nursed through customs/immigration and then being whisked away to the hotel was terrific.
The Latin American Fishing Co's people on the ground in Buenos Aires did not miss a beat. I did not have to contact them the entire time I was in BA. They always had a driver ready and available at the precise time that they said I would be picked up and delivered. The NH Lancaster hotel was comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location suited me perfectly. I don't think it cost any more than A$10 to get anywhere in the city that I wanted to go.
As for the fishing experience, I was very impressed. The lodge is simple, comfy, and the staff again very friendly and went out of their way to keep us happy. I was knocked out by the food.....way beyond my expectations in quality and quantity. The girls in the kitchen are gems and I hope they are there when I go again.
The fishing was difficult but rewarding. As I said to a number of friends back here in Sydney, you do not go to TdelF for the
weather or the tonnage! Had I caught the 105 cm monster that one of our group landed, I would have been happy if that had my fish for the week. As it turns out, I think I bagged the next 2 best fish of the week at 85 and 82 cms....both monster trout and I would fly around the world to catch them again."
